Void of Vision Return With ‘Kill All My Friends’

Void of Vision have released a powerful new single today, titled “Kill All My Friends”. The first new music since their EP Disturbia dropped a year ago, the track is accompanied by a video (directed by Kieran Ellis-Jones – Polaris, Ocean Grove) that features the band at their feral best

According to frontman Jack Bergin, “Kill All My Friends” is “about exactly what it sounds like. We live in a dog eat dog world, instinctually measuring ourselves against each other to vie for status. Behind the scenes, creatives will throw away all values to do whatever it takes to not view themselves as a failure by their own metric. The industry can be extremely ugly under skin.

“This is probably the most honest that I have been with my lyrics, the track reflects a turning point in my life where I took a step back to look at my own values. Brutal honesty is helping me shape some of my favourite work to date so I can see myself doing a lot more of this kind of writing in the future.”

For “Kill All My Friends”, Void of Vision pushed their sound to a new level, taking their past work and experimenting with industrial influences to create a unique sound that is described by Bergin as “110% classic VOV with a new edge.”

With a new song now out in the world, the band are currently working on material for an upcoming sophomore album, the follow-up to 2016’s Children of Chrome. “We cannot wait to experience everything that comes alongside the release of an album,” Bergin says. “I feel like I’ve tapped into something in my brain that I just can’t turn off, cathartic writing has become such an integral part of our creative process and I can’t wait to dig even deeper into that.”

In the past 12 months, Void of Vision have toured globally, including headline tours at home in Australia, including an epic set at UNIFY Gathering 2018, and an extended stint in the UK and Europe alongside Miss May I and Fit For A King.
