Passenger releases video for ‘Let’s Go’ from the Top 10 new album ‘Runaway’

Passenger has released the video for ‘Let’s Go’, a track taken from his Top 10 new album ‘Runaway’. Earlier this year, Passenger and director Jarrad Seng embarked on a three-week road trip across the US making videos for all of ‘Runaway’s ten songs. An evocative and amusing home-movie style montage of footage from the trip, ‘Let’s Go’ is the final video to be released from the album.

“‘Let’s Go’ is a fantastic song to play live, I think there’s a real energy about it,” says Passenger, aka Brighton’s Mike Rosenberg. “It’s a very simple song about being spontaneous, travelling and seeing the world, and not worrying about everything all the time. It’s quite a bright and happy moment on the album.”
‘Runaway’ entered the album chart at No.6, becoming Passenger’s fifth UK Top 10 album. The album charted Top 10 in a further four territories, including No.4 in Switzerland, and has so far been streamed 51 million times on Spotify. ‘Runaway’ also topped the UK Americana Albums Chart and reached No.2 on the Independent Albums Chart. Passenger’s recent UK tour culminated in sold-out shows at London’s Roundhouse and Brighton’s Dome, and his subsequent European dates were all sold-out. Passenger is currently on the final dates of his three-month ‘Runaway’ world tour, which has taken in North America and Australia & New Zealand following the European dates.

In August, the video for Passenger’s Ivor Novello Award-winning single ‘Let Her Go’ surpassed two billion views on YouTube, joining a very exclusive club which includes Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’, Taylor Swift’s ‘Blank Space’, Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ ft Bruno Mars, and Adele’s ‘Hello’. Passenger is a streaming phenomenon who has also had well in excess of a billion streams on Spotify, and is currently racking up over 2 million streams a week.
