With their first ever UK Christmas Tour just two weeks away, Bowling For Soup have decided to give us all an early present! Not content with bringing their old friends and brothers-in-pop-punk Patent Pending along for the ride, they are also bringing some amazing young talent straight from the great state of Texas to kick off the shows.
Earlier this year, Not Ur Girlfrenz made history as the youngest ever touring band in the history of The Vans Warped Tour, where they went down a storm, picking up legions of new fans at every date they played. Don’t believe us? Then check out the video for their smash hit “Warped”, dedicated to the Summer of these young ladies lives so far:
With their debut EP, New Kids In America, set for release this Friday (November 16th), the timing is perfect for Not Ur Girlfrenz to make their UK live debut. The girls – Liv Haynes (13 – Guitar & Vocals), Gigi Haynes (12 – Bass) and Maren Alford (14 – Drums) are ecstatic at being able to come to the UK for the first time with two of their favourite bands. Here’s front woman Liv Haynes on their huge news:
“We are beyond excited to be joining our frenz Bowling for Soup and Patent Pending on the Almost Christmas Tour!! We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off our holidays then to tour the U.K.!! Christmas is coming early this year!”
Bowling For Soup main man Jaret Reddick is also absolutely thrilled about having Not Ur Girlfrenz on tour with BFS in the UK!
“I am so excited about this tour! This is something we have never done! Plus bringing our original little brothers, Patent Pending, as well as Not Ur Girlfrenz, it is going to be a blast! Most have seen BFS and Patent Pending, but Not Ur Girlfrenz are going to blow you away!!! Seriously, get there early and stay late!”
As well as Warped, Not Ur Girlfrenz have recently released a music video for another track off their upcoming EP New Kids In America. Things get colourful in a big way in the video for No One Asked You Anyway, which you can check out below!
