Kansas City pop-punk band, Keep True, are thrilled to release their debut EP, Digging Up Bones” on November 16th. The name for the EP derives from digging up old emotions that you wish would stay buried, but somehow keep working themselves up above ground again. The band note, “Digging Up Bones is our attempt at trying to bring back the classic sound of pop-punk that forged the genre 30 years ago. It’s about heartbreak, holding grudges, letting go of them, and growing up.”
Kicking things off, the band unleashed, “Living,” an emotional rollercoaster of a song about losing someone. The band elaborates, “it’s about being grateful for the time you had together.” Off the 5-track EP, mixed and mastered by Josh Schroeder (Random Awesome), this is the most emotionally charged song (both instrumentally and lyrically) off the EP. They continue by stating, “The chorus has a cinematic wideness to it and lyrically it is extremely vulnerable.” Fans can listen and watch the brand new music video below!
Additionally, the band unveiled another single, “Deal With It” a song that offers a narration of a fight between a couple. The band expands, “it is about when a relationship is coming to the end of the ropes. It’s fast-paced instrumental that really illustrates the stressful mindset of being in a relationship that is on and off.” Fans can listen and watch the brand new music video, below!
