On a night where Movements and Tiny Moving Parts supported, Knuckle Puck took to Southampton’s 1865 last month in some style as a packed out venue couldn’t stop signing along and crowdsurfing throughout the evening.
The Chicago based band started off with ‘Gone’ which certainly kicked off the set right from the start as they revealed to the crowd that this was their second time in Southampton. The band wanted to open the pit for the fourth song on the night which was ‘Poison Pen letter’ and this stayed opened for ‘Double Helix. There was plenty of crowdsurfing as you would expect and the next song went out to everyone at the venue as Knuckle Puck lead singer Joe Taylor said that they wouldn’t be there without them and this was ‘Evergreen’. Joe also joked about the city’s Pizza Hut saying it’s the biggest in the world. They also mentioned Movements and Tiny Moving Parts who both put in an electrifying performance on the night.
With bangers such as ‘Conduit’ and ‘Pretense’ under the band’s belt, it was always going to be a great night and they finished on ‘Untitled’ which was a perfect way to set up their encore which was ‘Your Back Porch’. Overall it was a great night of some of American’s finest bands.
