Enter Shikari reveal new documentary

British band Enter Shikari have revealed ‘Content 2.0’, a 1 hour+ documentary movie and track-by-track breakdown of their fifth critically-acclaimed, award-winning, UK Chart Top 5 album ‘The Spark’.

‘Content 2.0’ is an in-depth exploration of the record, charting the path from early demos to full-blown album recordings of many of the key tracks on the album, featuring interviews with band members, candid in-the-studio footage shot during the recording of the album, and never-before seen live footage taken on tour following ‘The Spark’ release.
‘Content 2.0’ was shot over a twelve month period, and then pieced together in a fevered, sleepless burst of editing genius by the band videographer / photographer. Tom Pullen, for the first anniversary of the album’s release.
Frontman Rou Reynolds says:
“Normally, you’d release one of these track-by-track things in order to bolster the marketing around the release of an album (we don’t knowingly title these recent releases “Content” by accident) but with the nature of The Spark’s lyrical content and what could be construed, by the casual listener, as the “departure from the normal Enter Shikari sound” (whatever that is), we wanted people to be comfortable with their own interpretations and perspectives of what the album is before we started crushing their dreams with our insights and expositions into the arcane technical aspects of the recording. We hope there’s something in the documentary for rabid fan and passing-interest viewer alike. Mr Pullen has excelled himself in putting it together”.
As part of the one year anniversary of ‘The Spark’ Enter Shikari also released a new remix of the first single ‘Live Outside’, mixed by their own alter-ego project the Shikari Sound System. The track is available via all download and streaming services worldwide: http://smarturl.it/LiveOutsideRemix The remix was accompanied with a vertically formatted remix of the original video, reimagined by the band’s longtime Ukranian visual collaborator Oleg Rooz: https://youtu.be/rQ8KANh-nKw
In addition was the announcement of new book ‘The Spark – Lyrics & Exegesis of Rou Reynolds’, a companion paperback book to 2017’s ‘Dear Future Historians’ hardback (now out of print, and still in high demand), which compiles lyrics and essays relating to the band’s past decade of releases, including the first four albums and stand-alone singles. The limited edition book is published by Faber Music and available from all good bookstores from 26th November, or by pre-order now from Enter Shikari’s store: https://www.entershikari.com/store
