mewithoutYou stream new album [Untitled] on Bandcamp ahead of release

Genre-defying innovators mewithoutYou are releasing their seventh full-length, ‘[Untitled]’, this Friday, October 5th on Big Scary Monsters. To celebrate, the band have made the album available early to stream in full and purchase for $5 on Bandcamp. In classic mewithoutYou form, ‘[Untitled]’ is many things at once, pushing fearlessly into new sonic and lyrical territory while also pulling elements from their past. The result is an album that seamlessly blends a litany of styles and sounds into something that can only be described as mewithoutYou. Frontman Aaron Weiss digs deep throughout the album, once again providing the stunningly intricate lyrics for which mewithoutYou is known–always searching himself and the world around him for a better understanding.

Since their formation in 2001, mewithoutYou have never stopped moving forward. Across six full-length albums and a handful of EPs, the Philadelphia band—who have been labeled everything from experimental punk to post-hardcore to indie rock—have always put a premium on progression, never anchoring themselves to a single sound and instead gracefully wandering across stylistic lines. It’s that same spirit that informs both ‘[Untitled]’ and the ‘[untitled]’ e.p., a companion piece that was surprise released just last month.

mewithoutYou’s U.S. headlining tour starts this week, tickets are available now.
