Over the last few weeks, California’s Hellogoodbye have shared one song a week from their new record, and now they’ve revealed the video for another new cut, ‘Close’—the most recent track to be taken from their forthcoming new album S’Only Natural.
The album is set for release on 5th October via Alcopop! Records (UK).
‘Close’ is a smooth and delicately-delivered ballad amidst an album marked by its unabashed self-love and zest for life. Directed by Andrew Lee, the video for ‘Close’ is an ageless and obscenely serene romantic fever dream, existing in a world where love is always forever and solitude is always for two.
‘There is this placeless place,’ front man Forrest Kline explained speaking exclusively to Billboard. ‘Two human bodies in tune, every advance anticipated, every retreat beckoning. I wanted for so long to bottle it up so I could go back there whenever I wanted.’
‘It took ages, it was the first song that I started for this record and nearly the last one I finished, but through a true labor of love I did that for myself, and I for one will treasure it forever.’
The band are currently gearing up for a run of US headline tour dates in support of the new record, with further live dates in the UK and EU to be announced.
A new song from S’Only Natural will be released each week leading up to the albums October 5th release date.
