Adelaide Australia’s The Hard Aches today unveil a brand new single-version of ‘I Feel Like I’m Dying’, a song which features on their recently released second album ‘Mess’. The single is hitting just as the duo are about to embark on their first ever tour of the UK, supporting Muncie Girls later this month. They’ll follow up that jaunt with their pals with a few of their very own headline dates. See below for details.
The release of ‘I Feel Like I’m Dying’ is accompanied by a new music video by award-winning director, Kieran Ellis-Jones, filmed over a weekend in various locations around Adelaide itself. Vocalist and guitarist Ben David says “It follows a day in life, waking up on the right side, or the wrong side, of the bed. A series of fortunate, or not so fortunate, events.” The Hard Aches duo is completed by Alex Upton on drums and both members appear in polar opposite scenarios in the split-screen music video, which echoes the sentiment of the track.
Talking about the single, Ben said previously, “This song was described by someone as “morbidly optimistic” and I think that’s pretty spot on. Musically a bit of a change up for us, (it’s almost like a grunge Weezer song or something like that) we finally got to lay down some brass, something we have toyed around with for EVERY release we have done. Big gang style choruses and a shredding trombone solo take this song home in style. Definitely one of the funnest times we had in the studio making this song.”
