Tilian Pearson shares new video for ‘Hold On’

Dance Gavin Dance frontman, Tilian Pearson, has released a new video for, ‘Hold On,’ which explores two different father-son dynamics within a family. ‘Hold On’ is taken from Tilian’s upcoming album ‘The Skeptic’ which is out the 28th September via Rise Records.

According to Tilian, ‘‘Hold On’ is about mutually surrendering yourself to another person. Sometimes even when you are close to someone, you put up barriers of isolation and duplicity that inevitably lead to you having to lie to yourself. An honest relationship with even just one person can be extremely fulfilling.’

‘The music video for ‘Hold On’ uses imagery of the relationship between a father and son, spanning thirty years. Moments of intense pleasure juxtaposed by the fear and shock of loss will hopefully produce the emotional satisfaction of a streamlined, three-minute classical tragedy,’ he adds.

Tilian recently announced his third full-length studio album, The Skeptic, is due out on Friday, 28th September via Rise Records. The record is rounded out at 10 tracks and complete with a solid mix of pop-punk and indie-pop offerings.

Tilian is currently on a headline tour of North America, the stint hits stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Toronto, before wrapping in Denver on Sunday, September 23rd. Former DGD vocalist, Kurt Travis, will provide direct support with his new band, Royal Coda, along with Sunsleep.
