Kagoule release video ‘Egg Hunt’

Nottingham trio Kagoule are pleased to reveal the video for brand new single ’Egg Hunt’ which is out now on all good digital service providers ahead of a special physical iteration of the track revealed soon.

The track serves as the band’s grand comeback and is the lead single from forthcoming LP, Strange Entertainment, set for release this October on Alcopop! Records.

Commenting on the track and video, front man Cai Burns said: ‘We’ve been super excited about this song since we first wrote it. ‘Egg Hunt’ to me embodies what Kagoule is right now and is the start of a path to something new.

‘It’s a very direct, personal song and we wanted the video to reflect that, so we went in with no treatment and 30 minutes of film, and this is what came out. It’s very much just us being us I guess. There’s also a little cameo from our good friend and director Joe Bird, who was an absolute pleasure to work with.’

The three-piece recently announced a run of headline UK tour dates throughout October and November of this year in support of the new record, with tickets on sale now (see below for full dates).

Fresh from a UK tour with Drenge, a summer of festival appearances, and a personal invitation from The Cure’s Robert Smith to appear at Meltdown Festival, the band return proper with their new album later this year alongside the Strange Entertainment Tour with a further planned Euro sojourn.

The band have enjoyed previous press support across the board from DIY, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, Kerrang! Magazine, Upset, Dork, Punktastic et al, plus spins on BBC Radio 1, Radio X and BBC 6music.

Their new record sees them finally spinning together their disparate influences into a body of work that attempts to capture the sum of their parts, and is very much a statement of where Kagoule are pleased to find themselves artistically now that they’re at the helm of their own destiny.
