URNE – The Mountain Of Gold Tracklisting

1) Dust Atlas
2) The Lady And The Devil
3) Mountain Of Gold
4) The March Towards The Sun (featuring Josh Middleton)

URNE was formed from the ashes of popular stoner / groove metal group Hang The Bastard by Joe Nally and Angus Neyra, who were keen to continue working together after Hang The Bastard called it a day. Joe and Angus recruited drummer Richard Wiltshire to complete their line up, and from their base in South London, their debut EP, The Mountain of Gold has been expertly crafted. As mentioned above, The Mountain Of Gold has been produced and mastered by Josh Middleton, while Stray From The Path’s Craid Reynolds also contributed to engineering duties by working on the drumming on the EP.

The first single from the EP is the heavy hitting Dust Atlas, which serves as a perfect introduction to what URNE are all about. The video for Dust Atlas can be enjoyed below:

For more on Dust Atlas, here’s URNE’s singer and bassist Joe Nally:

‘‘Dust Atlas’ was the first track written for our upcoming EP ‘The Mountain Of Gold’ and also the opener to that EP. We feel this song captures a lot of different elements of what URNE is about. We’ve always been passionate about heavy metal but also so many other genres & influences, we feel these are prominent on this track & throughout the EP. We’re really pleased to be getting our music out & playing this material in a live environment.’

While on the subject of URNE’s first music video, Joe had this to say:

‘We wanted the video to Dust Atlas to match the track in energy and feel. Shooting with Adrian Cecil in a dark dingy basement in Croydon, we feel he’s done a great job capturing the vibe of the track.’
URNE have recently headed out on location to film a new video for their second single – the details of which will be revealed soon.

URNE’s debut EP, The Mountain Of Gold, will be self-released by the band on the 27th of July 2018.
