London avant-garde alternative rock band Death and The Penguin are pleased to reveal the video for latest single ‘Colour In Me’ which is out now – watch and share below!
The track is the latest to be taken from their recently announced debut album, Anomie, set for release on 27th July 2018 in partnership with Lonely Voyage Records (Poly-Math, Jean Jean).
Shot at local-favourite Brighton music haunt The Green Door Store and directed by Dan Chase, the new video sees the band performing amongst a kaleidoscope of projections.
Commenting on the influence behind the track and visuals, the band said: ‘Colour In Me is our own take on a summery pop song; it’s a song about the antagonising forces often at work in a relationship that make love complex and disorienting. We wanted to reflect this in the video by combining live performance with visuals that capture the energy and shifting emotions of the track – it was a lot of fun capturing this down on the south coast with some good friends.’
So far picking up praise from the likes of Kerrang! Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, Original Penguin, Killing Moon, Punktastic, Already Heard, Musical Mathematics and many more, the band have been steadily building towards the release with a string of stand-alone singles.
To celebrate the album’s release, the band are hosting a special pre-release party at The Old Blue Last in London on 18th July, where they will be playing tracks from the record and fans will have a chance to pick up an advance copy of the album before anyone else.
This will be followed by a short run of August UK tour dates with Chicago math-punks Space Blood, and a performance at this year’s ArcTanGent Festival on 18th August, with further tour dates TBA.
