DIY punk outfit Queen Zee have revealed their new raucous and raunchy video for the single Sass or Die, the video is shot in the legendary Peter Kavanagh’s Pub in the bands hometown of Liverpool and show’s you what a night down the local looks like when you party with Queen Zee. Sass or Die is out now on the band’s own label, Sasstone Records. Defined by their riotous sound, the new single is a call to arms that defines the bands ethos and energy.
Queen Zee explains the latest single:
‘Last year we released a rough B-side version of Sass or Die done in our spare time at the studio. But since then Sass or Die has become much more than a B-side, nothing better captures the essence of Queen Zee than leading line “I wanna do this for the rest of my life”. So, we were decided to give the recording the love it deserved, and soundtrack your summer with it’
It’s been an exciting year for Queen Zee, the band won the PRS Flash Funding at this years The Great Escape Festival, which means they now have the chance to put their madness to record. Queen Zee have also been gaining the attention of radio both locally and nationally, with singles “Idle Crown” and “Sass or Die” being picked as BBC Radio One’s Huw Stephen’s tip of week. With notable mentions from BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Radio X DJ John Kennedy and BBC Introducing. Which was soon followed by an invitation to the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios, with a live session and interview aired on BBC Radio One in April 2018.
With many more festivals to go including Standon Calling, Liverpool International Music Festival, Wychwood festival plus a run of European festival including Reeperbahn it’s shaping up to be a brilliant year for the band.
