Live Review: INK. at Southampton’s Joiners

Mc Fly’s Dougie Poynter’s new project INK. played at Southampton’s Joiners on Saturday 26th May and I was impressed from start to finish. Creating a sonic that can only be described as alternative rock meets grunge, the band totally ruled the small venue throughout the evening.

The band played tracks from their debut EP Heaven that included the title track, Fever, Symphony Women and the brilliant Back to the Noise. Vocalist/guitarist Todd Dorigo and drummer Corey Alexander both put on a perfect show also as the packed crowd were really up for listening what they had on offer.

It was refreshing to see Dougie taking time at the merch table to say hello to fans also and proved that he is a true gentleman.

The band played new songs also which were superb on the night and one could only say that the best is yet to come from this trio.
