L.A Ska Punk pioneers The Interrupters return with their third full-length studio release the utterly anthemic ‘Fight The Good Fight.’ Opener ‘Title Holder’ continues the bands battle-happy, 2-Tone underdog, chest puffed out hook-laden infectious stomp. ‘So Wrong’ bounces with Punk sensibilities as Aimee Interrupter melodically sings and slurs with her distinctive tuneful rasp. The lead single ‘She’s Kerosene’ is Ska-Punk perfection while the late night ‘Leap Of Faith’ has a darker Blue Beat shadow. The arms locked, beer in red cups, hand tattooed ‘Got Each Other’ features American legends Rancid and it resonates along Ruby Soho’s alleyway and avenues with a simplistic mish-mash crowd-rousing Punk style. The heart heavy, call to arms on ‘Broken World’ is followed by the highly addictive ‘Gave You Everything’ which is armed with a Pistols Riff and some perfect sleazy Stefani rocker vocals. ‘Outrage’ is soaked in sunny California parking lot Punk while ‘Rumours And Gossip’ is an anti two faced ditty. A restrained ‘Be Gone’ and the departed friend remembered ‘Room With a View’ completes this early front-runner for 2018’s album of the year. The Interrupters have lovingly cultivated their infectious Skank inducing, pogo happy Ska-Punk sound and it’s a sound that can raise the lowest of spirits to the highest of highs. No doubt about it The Interrupters have raised the bar again, this is stunning stuff.
