Failure By Design Records are delighted to announce they have signed Hertfordshire alternative rock band Redwood who are fresh from a support slot with Bath rock band Decade, and will be announcing further details of new material later this year.
‘We’re super excited to welcome Redwood to the FBD family,’ said the label of the news. ‘We’ve been friends with them for a while now and we’ve been not-so-secretly admiring their collective growth as a band for the last year. We’re really happy to be involved in the next steps of the band’s journey.’
Commenting on the news, the band said: ‘We’re very happy to be working with FBD. We’ve known the guys for a few years and we decided that now would be a good time to work together.’
Redwood are a dynamic, five-piece alternative rock outfit from Hertfordshire, UK. Drawing influence from a range of genres from emo to post-rock, they combine delicate melodies and thought provoking lyrics with intricate, shimmering guitars and powerful choruses with explosive endings. On record they’re nothing short of impressive, but the live show is where this band truly shines; energetic, atmospheric, bold and emotionally powerful.
Since releasing their debut EP Blood Moon (2016) the band have released standalone single ‘Night Garden/Aster’ (2017) and appeared on stage with the likes of From Indian Lakes, Totorro, Fish Tank, Ducking Punches, Sam Duckworth (Recreations) and Yearbook to name but a few.
They have been championed on Kerrang! Radio by new music Demogorgon Alex Baker and received critical acclaim from some of the best known and respected alternative music publications including UPSET, DORK, Punktastic and many more.
The quintet have also embarked on a relentless DIY touring schedule of the UK and mainland Europe, with further live dates TBA alongside details of new material.
