UK progressive metal band Dividum have released their new single/video Satisfaction Guaranteed, taken from their new EP T.H.R.E.E., to be released June 1st.
About the song, vocalist Neil Bailey said: ‘I was always interested in the idea of a single moment being the focus for a song; essentially micro-fiction. I decided to focus on the idea of epiphanies: single moments of crystal clear clarity or a sudden realisation. Satisfaction was the first song I wrote with the idea of experiencing an epiphany.’
Satisfaction Guaranteed, is the second in a series of six videos that chronicle the exploits of a group who are on a path of self-destruction and chaos. This video shows a theft by one of the characters of an important item that’s coveted by the rest of the group, resulting in a furious chase between two members of the group. The idea behind this video was the concept of ‘magic doors’, or doors that allow people to move through space. This is pretty integral to the story and the chase and sets the stage for the next four videos.
Often compared to their key influences TesseracT and Protest The Hero, vocalist Neil Bailey’s unique vocal style has often had the band’s sound described as Iron Maiden meets The Dillinger Escape Plan.
Dividum have supported many acts passing through their hometown including Tesseract, Malefice, Valis Ablaze, Exist Immortal, toured the UK with The Colour Line and played Tech Fest 2016, which has enabled them to refine their incredible live show. Tour dates for the summer will be announced soon.
