With their debut full-length Boundless (out April 6th via Long Branch Records), VALIS ABLAZE present an even more refined sound: low end grooves juxtaposed with soaring vocal lines, crisp milton-cleans and atmospheric synths, all driven by intricate rhythm work and growling bass. A huge spectrum of energy, emotion, power and beauty.
Although wearing their influences clearly on their sleeves, Valis Ablaze provide an intriguing alternative to the progressive metal norm; swells of creative ingenuity shine throughout, as well as thought out details and subtle complexities that will keep the listener returning again and again.
Unprocessed are a progressive metal band hailing from Hessia’s central city Wiesbaden in Germany. They released their new album, Covenant, on April 13th (via Long Branch Records).
Unprocessed’s sound features insanely fast palm muted, chugged guitar-riffs and shredding solos that meet soundscapes from another dimension, guttural vocals that are contrasted by lucid and melodic clean singing. A sharp bass tone and groovy, yet detail oriented drum-lines form a massive rhythm section and complete the bands overall sound. This mixture shows that this young band is ready to conquer the scene.
