Team Picture share new single ‘Break Yr Heart’

Leeds-based six-piece, Team Picture today share their fuzzy new track, Break Yr Heart, the latest to be taken from their forthcoming Matt Peel-produced (formerly Autobahn, Eagulls) mini-album, Recital – due out via Big Dumb Music on June 1, 2018. The new cut arrives just ahead of festival dates at Liverpool Sound City, Sounds From The Other City and The Great Escape, and follows in the footsteps of previous singles, Strange Year, (I Have A) Little Secret and (I Want Your) Life Hack. The full 7-track release will be supported with a UK tour in May and June, taking in festival dates before headline slots at The Shacklewell Arms, London on May 31, 2018 and The Brudenell Social Club, Leeds on June 1, 2018 – full dates below.

Break Yr Heart continues where (I Want Your) Life Hack. left off, further evidencing ‘Recital’s’ more vitriolic, guitar-flavoured flip-side. Speaking about the track, guitarist Josh says: ‘‘Break Yr Heart’ is kind of a classic rock song with a fuzzy bottom end and some really seat-of-the-pants vocals. Kind of like The Stooges if they were a bunch of nerds.’

Since forming in 2016, Team Picture have earned praise at Radio 1, BBC Introducing and secured multiple spins at 6 Music with support from Huw Stephens, Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq, as well as ticking off support slots with the likes of Parquet Courts, Psychic Ills, The Orielles and Ulrika Spacek. In addition, the band have performed at the likes of Bluedot Festival (along with Warpaint and the Pixies), the Wire-curated Drill Festival and Manchester’s Neighbourhood Festival, as well as selling out their own curated ‘Du The Katman’ night at Leeds’ Hyde Park Book Club.
