Annapolis, MD’s Bumpin Uglies are celebrating their first #1 album this week, after debuting atop the Billboard Reggae chart with their 4th LP, Beast From The East. The record also debuted at #1 in Reggae on Itunes, Amazon and Google Play and landed at #24 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
Beast From The East is the debut release from newly launched Chicago indie label Space Duck Records.
Propelled by a devoted fanbase, a fierce DIY work ethic, relentless touring and a knack for pairing laid-back tunes with thoughtful and intensely personal songwriting courtesy of frontman Brandon Hardesty, Bumpin Uglies’ sunny concoction of ska, reggae and punk has clearly connected with audiences.
