London based Girli was joined Lion and Lauran Hibbard at Southampton’s Joiners last Thursday as the venue experienced one of the becoming artists in the UK scene right now.
Lion and Lauran Hibbard both provided fantastic sets to warm up the main event and arguably both of them could be one day headlining the venue.
In what was a buzzing crowd, Girli performed the likes of Fuck Off Back To The LA and Not That Girl as the artist had elements of Kate Nash in her voice yet arguably better. Her vocals matched Girli’s beauty on the night as the performance was a perfect showcase of what the UK has to offer in the music industry right now. The brilliant Girl I Met On The Internet was a highlight of the night as it almost provided a retro gaming feel to the backing music.
It was great to see Girli perform in such a small venue like The Joiners before she gets massive in the music industry. The Joiners as seen many artists such as Ed Sheeran perform there in the past and I really don’t think Girli’s music career will be much different.
