York emo-rock band Feed Them To The Forest are pleased to share the music video for their latest single Lie With The Dogs taken from their upcoming debut EP Can’t Forget set for release on Monday 7th May 2018.
Filmed over the course of a snowy week in Yorkshire, the video sees the band performing along to their latest single whilst in the company of a selection of four-legged companions, borrowed from friends and relations for a fun day of filming.
‘This was one of the most fun (and challenging) things we’ve done. First, we had to find as many dogs as we could to borrow, then we had to chase them around to get them to stay in shot and keep their paws clean somehow. The weather was wet and cold, so the studio just stank of wet dog all day long. It was lots of fun though and the memory of coating my face in a dog treat paste to lure a dog into frame is not one I’ll forget in a hurry!’ explains vocalist Elliot Partridge.
Influenced by the emotionally charged sound of the late 90’s Long Island punk rock scene, the band bring the genre up to date with a drilled-in focus on hooks, harmonies and weaving dual vocal interplay. Produced and mastered by a dream team combo of Dave Boothroyd at Reel Recording Studio (Deaf Havana / Blink 182) and Alan Douches at West Side Music (The Wonder Years, Alkaline Trio, Every Time I Die) ‘Can’t Forget’ is the band’s first substantial release since singles ‘Black Canary’ and ‘Six Seasons and a Movie’ both released in 2016.
