Brighton indie punk-pop newcomers Murderhouse are happy to announce their latest EP will be released 1st June 2018 through Circle House Records.
To celebrate the news, Murderhouse are streaming a brand-new track titled HMV Tweets which is taken from the forthcoming self-titled EP.
The band has also revealed a short run of UK dates with Venn Records indie-punk band WACO (details below).
Explaining the meaning behind HMV Tweets, Vocalist/Guitarist, James Hunt said: ‘I wrote the lyrics start to finish on my phone whilst pacing around my old place of work – a HMV record store in the process of closing down. The song is about the awkward early moments after you reach out for help for your mental health and the battle it can be to stay positive. When I wrote this song I was 100% confident that I would never get to a happy place again but I now know I was wrong’.
Scrappy punk rock underdogs, brandishing well-worn hearts on their sleeves, Murderhouse lay themselves open for inspection on what will be the band’s third release to date. Channelling a raw explosiveness that aims to plug the gap between the 90’s emo grit of acts like Jawbreaker and the newfangled melancholia of the likes of Modern Baseball and Joyce Manor, Murderhouse deliver their songs with a level of conviction that is difficult to overlook.
Produced by Seb Gilmore and mastered at The Ranch (Milk Teeth, Creeper, Gnarwolves) Murderhouse will release their self-titled EP on 1st June 2018 through Circle House Records.
