With exactly one month to go before new EP Where Lost Things Go is unleashed on the world, Keighley quintet As Sirens Fall have carried out a surprise drop of the second single from the EP.
Lily was released across all digital and streaming services at midnight on the 13th of March and sees the band taking a slightly different approach to the EP’s first hit single, In My Mind which featured Skindred’s Benji Webbe. Frontman Mikey Lord’s vocals really come to the fore on Lily in conjunction with the track’s main riff which is an instant earworm. Fans of the band were alerted to the song’s release via social media just a couple of hours ahead of Lily’s release, and the track is already racking up plays across all of your favourite streaming services.
Lily received its grand unveiling on the radio through BBC Introducing on the 3rd of March, but at that time no details had been provided about the track’s official release date. This follows on from As Sirens Fall’s recently heralded performance at the first ever 360 Raw / BBC Introducing gig in Leeds where the band wowed a sold out crowd and won themselves many new admirers in the process. A music video for Lily will follow in the very near future – so keep your eyes peeled for that being unveiled.
Lily is available to download and stream on all the usual platforms now:
Whilst spending most of their time looking ahead to their new release, As Sirens Fall also recently took some time out from promoting Where Lost Things Go to look back on their first EP The Hospital Party. The EP, which contained the band’s breakout singles Where You Are and Smoke, attracting the attention of the likes of Rock Sound, Kerrang TV and Planet Rock Radio, was released in July 2016 and As Sirens Fall felt this was the perfect time to formally close that chapter of their lives with Where Lost Things Go on the horizon. You can check out frontman Mikey, as well as bassist Jason Doveston and guitarist Adam Doveston giving The Hospital Party its send off below:
As Sirens Fall have also just announced a new batch of shows to go with their already announced first ever European tour at the start of May, details of which can be found on the poster below. The newly announced shows will take place either side of their run of shows in Europe, including an (almost) hometown show in Leeds at the Key Club on the 21st of April.
In addition to the Lily Tour, As Sirens Fall will open the main stage on the Saturday of the 2018 Amplified Festival.
