Stones Corner Festival Announces 2018 Curation

Now in its fifth straight year, the Stones Corner community have announced another stellar curation of the their 2018 festival, further cementing the area as a leader in their support of the arts and local community. Having bought some of the country’s favourite acts to the region in the past (Regurgitator, Sahara Beck, Mental As Anything, The Badloves, Taxiride, Ganggajang), this year will see the famous precinct celebrating some of Australia’s best talent including one of Brisbanes most iconic and much loved acts Custard – heralding the event as one of Australia’s top street festivals.

The festival is excited to announce the return to Brisbane of the iconic rock outfit Custard,
an extremely rare performance from The Mavis’s, Screamfeeder, Diana Anaid, Shag Rock, Eliza & The Delusionas, The Brains Trust and so much more.

This year will also see the festival expand its offering across the board. With record numbers each year organisers have been conscious to create the ideal experience and have upgraded their licensed areas a larger beer garden to handle the growing numbers. Having set the standard of bringing together an incredibly diversere offering of craft beer and local wines, coupled with only the best food trucks from the greater South East Queensland only furthering their support of local business. A range of market stalls will also showcase wares from a diverse spread across the community as well as a slew of activities for the whole family.

With the festival now placed on Sunday 6th of May (the following day being the Labour Day public holiday in QLD), there’s no better reason to come down and soak up the warm and friendly festival atmosphere and celebrate The sights, sounds and tastes of our great state.

The festival is also honoured to be able to support MND Australia and will be raising funds for Motor Neurone Disease prevention in Australia on the day.
