Northern Faces returned today with an ambitious new single, Firecracker – which premiered this morning with Substream Magazine. Firecracker exemplifies the band’s dynamism as songwriters, as well as, their talent and creativity as musicians.
It is an ethereal, guitar-centric rock anthem that incorporates elements of modern indie, folk and classic rock to create a diverse track that will undoubtedly keep the crowd moving as they embark on their upcoming spring tour with Electric Six and their appearance at Firefly Music Festival in June. You can check out Firecracker now on YouTube or Spotify.
Bryan Shortell (Vocals/Guitars) about Firecracker:
It’s about feeling like your fire for something might be slowly fading out. It could be a passion, a relationship, etc. It’s that self doubt that can come in waves, and the whole thought process that goes along with that.
Northern Faces will embark on a North American tour later this month with Electric Six and will be on the bill for one of the best festival lineups of 2018 this June at Firefly Music Festival. Firefly – which will include such headlining acts as Eminem, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers – will take place from June 14th through the 17th. You can purchase tickets for the band’s tour with Electric Six at northernfaces.com, and you can secure your spot at Firefly Music Festival via their website.
Northern Faces fuse impossibly catchy hooks and melodies, unparalleled harmonies, blues-influenced instrumentation and a modern pop sensibility into a sound that feels both familiar and inherently unique. With over 6 million spins on Spotify and a performance history that includes shows and tours with a wide array of acts including The 1975, Royal Blood, Cage The Elephant, AWOL Nation, The Dear Hunter and X Ambassadors, Northern Faces are poised to take a well-deserved step forward into the mainstream with the release of the new record later this year.
