Industrial noise-punk duo Black Futures have released their new single Riches, their first release since signing to Music For Nations on Sony, and the latest to be taken from their upcoming debut album, out later this year.
Riches, combines crystalline synths and harmonic vocal melodies with a brutal descent into a powerful blast of chaotic sonic brilliance. It follows the success of both their debut single KARMA YA DIG!? and its successor Love which have variously seen the band championed by the likes of Annie Mac & Huw Stephens at Radio 1, Apple Music’s A-List Rock playlist and Breaking Rock playlist, as well as getting regular plays on Radio X.
The band have been hotly tipped at press with the likes of Upset, Kerrang, Metal Hammer, BBC Music, Team Rock and more hailing them as one of the most exciting propositions for 2018.
Black Futures say of their major label signing; ‘Music For Nations have been firmly accepted into the Black Futures inner circle. Rest assured no animals were harmed in the initiation ceremony for our new Brothers and Sisters. Now that the ink has healed we are truly galvanised in our singular mission to bring the world a manic good time before we slip off the edge of existence! NEVER NOT NOTHING’
Julie Weir, head of Music For Nations comments; ‘From the first moment we were kidnapped into the world of Black Futures, we had no doubt there was something very different coursing through their veins. An edgy mix of Rock, Industrial and Danceable Electronics with a dark undercurrent, reminiscent of some but also looking forward into the unknown….. and unlike any other artist around at the moment with their vision and world view. We are excited to be part of the Never Not Nothing universe.’
