Acclaimed London quartet The King’s Parade have today released their new single Night Calls.
The song leads with a rich, wandering guitar riff before frontman Olly Corpe breaks into an effortlessly smooth croon, evoking feelings of vulnerability that blend seamlessly with the song’s lyrics. Soon bolstered by a punchy, infectious groove, The King’s Parade reaffirm their ability to combine delicate lyrical themes with a powerful and gritty delivery, calling to mind the sounds of Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys and Leon Bridges.
Night Calls is the first taste of new music following the release of the band’s second EP Haze, which clocked up praise from the likes of THE INDEPENENT, CLASH, EARMILK and many more.
Over the course of releasing their two EPs, the band has built a fervent fanbase, seeing them sell out headline shows at London’s Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, Oslo and hold a residency at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s. They’ve also become a strong live draw in Germany, selling out headline shows across the country.
