Escape The Fate release ‘Do You Love Me’ lyric video

Escape The Fate have released the lyric video for their brand new track Do You Love Me, a melodic, angst-driven anthem centered around the perils of intimacy and relationships. It’s taken from their upcoming album I Am Human, to be released via Better Noise Records on February 16th, 2018.

It comes before their return to the UK in January and February for a headline tour in support of the new record. They will play shows in Manchester, Bristol, London, Nottingham and Glasgow with support from New Jersey post-hardcore band Palisades.

Throughout their career Escape The Fate have delivered a sound that is sonically diverse, piecing together metalcore, pop hooks and synth-infused ballads injected with 80’s sleaze, but with their sixth instalment, I Am Human, Escape The Fate are at their most raw, real, and relatable yet.

Produced by GRAMMY® Award-nominated super producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Adam Lambert), this record sees an evolution of Escape The Fate’s sound that brings the band back to the excitement of their roots.

“We’re getting older, and we’re changing—so our music should change with us,” singer Craig Mabbitt says, “At the same time, we rediscovered what made us who we are. I felt like I was 17-years-old again. I haven’t been this excited to release something since I first joined the band and we put out This War Is Ours.” The album will be released on February 16th, 2018 on Better Noise Records.

The recently released lead track ‘Empire’ is their “party anthem with a dark undertone”, explains guitarist Kevin Thrasher. A thick bombastic riff and handclap rises from airy electronics as Craig croons, “One more time doing one more line, one more shot till we all ignite.” Soon, the groove snaps from a haunting pre-chorus into a chantable toast, “Cheers to the top, cheers to the middle, cheers to us all getting a little.”

Elsewhere on the album ‘Riot’ storms in with their instantly recognisable guitar pinches and breaks into an equally infectious party-centric chorus, while the title-track brings a euphoric dynamic to the record. The ballad-esque ‘Bleed’ adds acoustic guitars to the mix alongside soaring synths and rock riffs, while their diverse style shows with the pop sounds of ‘Let Me Be’.

This is the new era of Escape The Fate that will excite fans old and new, with a wave of releases and live shows to come throughout 2018.

The band are currently on the road with I Prevail, We Came As Romans and The World Alive on the Rage On The Stage Tour across the US before making their welcome return to the UK next year. They’ve also just announced a US run with fellow Eleven Seven bands Papa Roach and Nothing More.
