Cabbage release new single

Kevin is the new single from Cabbage, released today on Infectious Music. Premiered on Radio 1 earlier this week by Huw Stephens, ‘Kevin’ is a re-recording of the lead track from their 2016 debut EP ‘Le Chou’. A fan favourite and Cabbage’s live set closer, ‘Kevin’ was produced by James Skelly & Rich Turvey (Blossoms, She Drew The Gun) at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios. ‘Kevin’ is the Manchester band’s first stand-alone single after a series of acclaimed EPs, the latest of which, August’s ‘The Extended Play Of Cruelty’, contained the BBC 6Music playlisted track Celebration Of A Disease.

‘LORD KEVIN HAS GONE FULL CIRCLE!’ say Cabbage of the single. ‘In our prepubescent years, ar Kevin never got the adoration we feel it deserved. So when we became audio associates with James Skelly and Rich Turvey, they were very interested to put their own spin on it. So to celebrate all things Kevin, here’s the Parr Street (Skeleton Key mix) single, soon to be followed by other versions of the first born. YAWZAH!!”‘

This week Cabbage embarked on ‘The Healing Brexit Towns Experiment Tour’, their third headline tour of 2017. The tour includes a show at ULU, their biggest ever headliner in London following sold-out shows this year at Dingwalls and The Scala. Cabbage will be supported by Liverpool’s Queen Zee and The Sasstones, and Proletariat, from their hometown of Mossley, Greater Manchester. Cabbage will also be one of the headline acts at Manchester’s Neighbourhood Festival on October 7th.

Cabbage: Lee Broadbent (lead vocals), Joe Martin (vocals, guitar), Eoghan Clifford (guitar), Stephen Evans (bass), and Asa Morley (drums).
