I The Mighty Reveal ‘Chaos In Motion’

San Francisco’s I the Mighty took another bold step in their creative journey today, with the release of Chaos In Motion below!

This is the second single from their highly-anticipated new album Where the Mind Wants to Go / Where You Let it Go, released on October 20th via Rude Records. Already regarded as one of the most progressive voices in alternative rock, ‘Chaos In Motion, which was produced by Casey Bates (Portugal, The Man) and mixed by Neal Avron (Twenty One Pilots, Walk The Moon) is a bold statement. Still present is their brand of emotive, highly-energetic rock the band has built its fanbase on, but also captured is something even more anthemic. The staccato keyboards, wall of guitars and arena-ready percussion set the stage for Brent Walsh to expertly demonstrate his ability to captivate in an intimately relatable fashion, while still rocking hard enough to live up to the band’s reputation as one of the most dynamic live bands in rock.

Chaos In Motion has garnered the support of the BBC Radio One Rock Show, with Dan P Carter giving the track its first spin on Sunday. The video, which is directed by John Komar has now been released. It is a clever play on the song’s title, featuring various scenarios in which perfect tasks are completed imperfectly, sure to make viewers feel uncomfortable and infuriated in equal measure.

Chaos In Motion is the second single to see release from the forthcoming LP, following on from Silver Tongues, a track which features Tilian Pearson of Dance Gavin Dance, alongside a pulsing wall of frenzied percussion, ethereal synths and driving, delay-soaked guitar. The album’s full tracklisting comprises:

1. Degenerates | 2. Pet Names | 3. Chaos in Motion | 4. Where the Mind Wants to Go | 5. Symphony of Skin | 6. Sleepwalker | 7. Escapism | 8. 111 Winchester | 9. The Sound of Breathing | 10. Silver Tongues (featuring Tilian) | 11. Where You Let It Go
