Weirds Release ‘Old World Blues’ Video

WEIRDS make a grand entrance with their fuzzy and kaleidoscopic video for Old World Blues today. Taken from their standout debut album SWARMCULTURE, which was released earlier this year on Alcopop! Records, the Leeds band stand taller, louder and heavier than before with their breed of sludgy and psychedelic rock.

Fast gaining a reputation as fierce and unpredictable live force, WEIRDS are gearing up to perform at Liverpool Psych Fest and Reeperbahn Festivals, before supporting DZ Deathrays on their UK tour this September.

Old World Blues follows previous singles Valley Of Vision and Phantom, which garnered support from BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart, Huw Stephens, MistaJam, Radio X, Amazing and Kerrang! Radio.

2017 has been WEIRDS biggest year to date, with highlights including support to The Wytches and VANT, Live At Leeds, The Great Escape, Camden Rocks, 2000 Trees and Truck Festival.

The band also saw a flurry of interest earlier this year, after their Facebook page was bizarrely hacked and transformed to a viral videos page. When their account was eventually restored, their online following had exploded to around 100K Likes.

Aptly named, WEIRDS are by no means an easy-listening band or a live show where you simply stand still and spectate. Having created the band as teenagers, over the years they’ve crafted a sound and live presence that consumes and mesmerises. Catch them on the road:
