Northshore signs to Scylla Records

Northshore have signed to Scylla Records and have announced their new EP Alternative Futures to be released on 21st August. The band were formed in early 2017 in the north-east of the UK through an unlikely set of circumstances. Ben Vickers was ready to hang up his guitar after the end of his previous band until a late-night conversation with fellow ex-member Adam McQuillan outlined something new. The pair approached friends Dan Shepherd and Kyle Davies who were also between projects, and the line-up was completed by drummer Matty Waterhouse after Kyle all but demanded he join! Though many of the members had toured together before Northshore, there was no guarantee they’d fit as band members; but it became clear within minutes of their first practice that this was a match made in heaven.

The band swiftly found that not only did they work in similar ways, Northshore very quickly became something everyone was passionately invested in. Drawing influences from the full range of pop punk artists including State Champs and The Maine to more diverse outfits like Dance Gavin Dance, Northshore are developing an addictive flair. Their debut EP ‘Alternative Futures’ will release through Scylla Records, and the band have hit their stride writing intimate and impactful music. With these things in mind the band are already considering their second release, as 2017 promises to be a meteoric year for Northshore.

Better Days is the first single available from Alternative Futures. The official audio stream is available below!
