Stargazer are back on the scene, and they’re ready to make waves. The band has announced their debut full length –Tui La– coming this Summer, and is leading the big news with a brand new music video for the first single, Temple of Solace.
The song is a prime example of the variety fans will encounter and should expect in the upcoming weeks: melodic passages, ambiance, groovy instrumentation, and heartfelt vocals. The combination of harsh screams and deep cleans deliver a powerful message to the listener. Old time fans will find a step up from the band’s previous EP, while newcomers have a whole lot to discover. Anyone familiar with The Contortionist’s latest album, Devin Townsend or even TesseracT will recognize some of Stargazer’s influences and is bound to find something to keep them tied in until the album drops.
Matt Copp (vocals), opened up about the track: ‘Temple of Solace has some of the oldest riffs we’ve ever written, stretching back to before Stargazer was even a band. Slow and expressive, it has a very different weight than the rest of our material.
‘It’s about becoming lost in the struggle to escape the demons that pursue us, when sometimes we’re the ones chasing ourselves in prisons we build.’
