Sibling is a new band from the south of the UK founded by ex-Hindsights vocalist, Benio Baumgart along with friends Sam Correa and Lewis Pickering. They’ve announced the release of a new EP ‘Dream You Away’ via Close To Home Records on 30th June and you can hear Love/Sick from the record now. The release will be followed by a special ‘Dream You Away’ release show on 8th July at Thousand Island in London featuring support from itoldyouiwouldeatyou, Lightcliffe and Bodyheat.

‘The entirety of ‘Dream You Away’ is about breaking out of an abusive relationship.’ Explains Benio.’The four songs are based around different moments within the breakdown of the relationship and removing yourself from a toxic situation.

‘We hope this serves as a comfort to anyone who is an onlooker to their friend or family member who might be in a relationship of that kind, or better yet, help open the eyes of a person in one.’

Starting as a studio project, the trio eventually decided to they wanted to play the songs they were writing live, with additional help from a third guitarist and bassist to further portray their emotive and expansive sound. Taking the dynamics, nuance and musicianship of post-rock and crafting in catchy pop hooks to create a truly unique listening experience, both live and on record, Sibling are one to watch in 2017. ‘Dream You Away’ was recorded, mixed and mastered in February 2017 by Bob Cooper at Crooked Rain Studios, Leeds.
