Energy played at Southampton’s 1865 for their first UK tour alongside Puppy, Milk Teeth and headliners Creeper. The Massachusetts based band just released their single The Witching Hour and had a whole host of their latest album Apparition Sound and others. Having been together for 11 years now, it was about time for Energy to showcase their brilliant music in the UK. In fact as lead singer TANK (Jason Tankerley) says in our interview with the band, it was 11 years to the day since they released their debut EP Punch the Clock. Not only that but TANK proposed to his girlfriend on stage after being together for three years. It was a perfect moment to share with the sold out 750 capacity 1865. We caught up with lead singer TANK, guitarists Steve Duarte and Nick Sullivan, as they talked about the current tour, latest single The Witching Hour, TANK’s proposal to his fiance and much more as they invited us on their tour bus after their set.
