The Dollyrots set for new album!

Dollyrots

Punk rock duo the Dollyrots are set to release their sixth studio album Whiplash Splash on March 24. The album will be available on CD, limited-edition sea foam blue vinyl, and digitally on their very own Arrest Youth Label with distribution via MVD Entertainment Group.

Whiplash Splash marks their first studio album since 2014’s Barefoot and Pregnant. The new album also marks the addition of their daughter Daisy Moon to their entourage that already includes 3-year-old son River and tour dog Quito.

‘We only had three months to write, record, and finish the album between the launch of our PledgeMusic campaign and the birth of our daughter,’says guitarist Luis Cabezas. ‘Parenthood doesn’t afford us the time to overthink things anymore. We tracked most of the record at our home studio in-between kid playgroups & prenatal exams… and went with our first instincts for music and lyrics.’

The result is an album that’s focused, sharp and completely fan-funded. That said, a raw vitality courses through each track. With production by the band and longtime Producer John Fields [All Time Low, Jimmy Eat World, Busted] The Dollyrots’ signature spirit shines through in melodic guitar riffs, irresistible hooks, and punked-out woah-ohs & percussion.

The band’s 2016 live album/DVD Family Vacation: Live in Los Angeles debuted at #15 on Billboard’s Heatseekers album chart and Barefoot And Pregnant garnered their first chart appearance peaking at #7 on Billboard‘s Heatseekers. Both chart appearances were preceded by highly successful crowdsourcing campaigns through PledgeMusic. This followed the group’s 2012’s self-titled LP, two albums on Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records, and a 2004 debut through the venerable Lookout!/Panic Button Records.

The Dollyrots plan to tour in support of the album throughout 2017 with son & daughter River and Daisy in tow. The first run of dates kick off on March 16 in Chicago and finishes off with two shows in the band’s Southern California home base. All dates will feature support by friends The Two Tens.

With buzzing guitars, big thumping drums and sheets of buzzsaw vocals The Two Tens are a duo consisting of Adam Bones and Rikki Styxx; deluxe, fashionable rockers looking to have fun and melt faces. The twosome are set to release a new 7” single “Keeping Hope Alive” on February 10 from their forthcoming album out later this year.

The Two Tens debut album VOLUME is out now on CD and digital formats via Ugly Sugar Records and on vinyl via Man Della Records.
