Interview: Stealth talks new EP

unnamed (1).jpg
Stealth’s new EP has just released his new EP Verse which features How Much Further, which is the latest single to be taken from it. How Much Further is a big bluesy anthem, co-written and produced by the two-time Grammy nominated Michael Angelo. It’s a politically driven song from the Birmingham singer, about austerity and the constant struggle normal people have to go through.
The single has already been getting big support from BBC Introducing and featured in the opening scenes of a recent episode of Hollyoaks.
The Verse EP (out now) also features the cavernous Blame and hard-hitting Real Life, which also recently featured in an episode of Royals.
Stealth’s had big support from Radio 1, Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and gained a wealth of high profile press support from the likes of The Independent, Shortlist, Clash and many more.
You can check out How Much Further below!
So how has the release of Verse gone down with fans?
Its gone down great! People really seem to be enjoying the new stuff, it was daunting releasing anything after INTRO as it really seemed to connect, but yeah it seems Verse has built on that!
What is your favourite song from the release?
My favourite track is Blame, as its the most personal from the EP.
How was it working with Michael Angelo on the track How Much Further?
It was amazing! I’ve worked with Michael a few times, he’s such an easy guy to get on with and before you know it you’ve got a song! As soon as we heard this back at the end of the session we knew we had something special on our hands!
Will there be a album released this year?
With any luck.
What’s it like listening to yourself on the likes of Radio 1?
Surreal! It just felt like I’d put my own record on in the car. Its only when you hear the DJ say your name you start to really appreciate what just happened.
How much do your fans mean to you?
Everything! if i had no fans id have no outlet for the music!
If you could work with another artist or band on a song, who would it be and why?
Theres a little known artist called Son Little who i massively respect and love his music! Ive also recently gotten massively into Anderson .Paak!
What has been your proudest moment to date?
Probably surpassing 1 million streams on Judgement Day although that has kind of been left in the distance now as were up to like 7 mill across all platforms. That feeling of that 1st mill cant be replaced!
What has been your funniest moment to date?
When Sammer (the bassist in my band) nearly killed Me and the rest of my band. Driving up to Glasgow to support Vaults. Sam forgot we where driving an automatic and decided to left foot break on the slip road at about 60 mph. G (the Drummer) who was sitting in the back ended up in my lap.
