Already a huge hit on Alternative radio in their native US, You Don’t Get Me High Anymore is the new single from New York electro-pop duo Phantogram. The track – which has had over 6 million Spotify streams – received its UK radio premiere on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last week and will impact on November 14th, shortly ahead of Phantogram’s headline show at London’s Heaven on Wednesday 16th. You Don’t Get Me High Anymore is taken from Three, the acclaimed new album released last Friday on Fiction Records. Stateside, the album has been one of the most anticipated releases of the season, and praised by such media outlets as The New York Times, Pitchfork, Stereogum, The Fader, Rolling Stone, Complex, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine, Vogue, Elle, Interview, Nylon, Paper, Noisey, Pigeons & Planes, Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letter and more. “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” has continued to climb radio charts, currently sitting at #6 and rising at Alternative radio, and was performed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Since the release of their 2014 album Voices, Phantogram – comprised of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter – and have trekked across the globe playing live shows and festival dates, contributed features to everyone from A-Trak to Miley Cyrus and been sampled by Kanye West, The Game and A$AP Rocky, as well as releasing their debut BIG GRAMS LP with good friend and musical partner in crime, Big Boi of Outkast. The New York bred duo made writing stops at home and in Atlanta before picking back up in Los Angeles to record ‘Three’. Carter and Barthel shared duties on production and vocals, uniquely melding elements of rock, pop, hip-hop and electronic. The resulting sound leans darker and more psychedelic yet with some of the brightest and most introspective pop melodies they’ve delivered to date, truly making them genre-defying artists for the 21st century.
Phantogram recently embarked on a world tour in support of ‘Three’, and they’ve already been blowing minds with a new visually-intense show including sold-out performances last week at the Hollywood Palladium, Oakland’s Fox Theater, and Portland’s Crystal Ballroom. The tour reaches Europe next month, with the UK leg including dates in Brighton, Manchester, Glasgow and a show at London’s Heaven.
