We managed to talk to Cailin for about her latest release, new music, fans and more!
It’s been nearly a year since the release of ‘Another’, how has the release gone?
I can’t believe it’s been a year since the release! I am very humbled by the response it has gotten so far. I have loved touring it for the past year getting to reach different audiences on different coasts.
How much work did you put in for the EP?
The EP itself was about a year in the making
Is there any new music on the way, maybe a full length album?
I am planning to release a new original for free on YouTube once a month, and depending on the type of response that gets, who knows! Maybe a full length album could be in the works.
Are you looking forward to performing Nashville, and what are the dates?
I am very excited for my Nashville trip. As of now I have a few co writing sessions lined up, and I’m planning on playing as many open mics as I can find, and just network and meet some fellow musicians!
What’s the best bit about touring with your music?
My favourite part of getting to tour my album is interacting with people from all walks of life and hearing their interpretation of my music. It’s been great.
How much does your fans mean to you?
The people who support my music are everything to me. The love people have shown really push me to keep writing.
If you could work with any artist or perform with them, who would it be and why?
This is a hard question. My “favourite artist changes on a daily basis, but one person who has stayed a constant inspiration for me is Ed Sheeran. I admire his drive to stay authentic throughout his entire rise to fame. Also, to collaborate with him and his lyrical abilities would be a dream come true.
