With incredible headline action from Major Lazer, The Cure, Sean Paul & Wiz Khalifa, as well as firing sets by Diplo, Carl Cox and Fatboy Slim as the Spaceport made its debut, not to mention stand out appearances from Hot Chip, Bastille, Years & Years, sun-bringer Craig David, Skepta, Leftfield, Kurupt FM, Richie Hawtin, Wolf Alice, Glass Animals, Caravan Palace, The Human League and many more, there was always fun to be had in The Future!

And, lest we forget, weird and wonderful goings on in the Ambient Forest, mind-blowing Night Parades, the otherworldly beauty of Celestial Dreaming, eye-popping acrobatic madness on the Carnival stage, oddball brilliance in Caravanserai, delicious treats in the Feast Collective and, most of all, you fantastic Bestivalites for making it such a great weekend.
And once again Bestival made a huge positive economic impact in 2016, bringing over 40,000 people across the Solent to this year’s event, generating £4.3 million for the Island’s local economy and working alongside a variety of local companies, traders and suppliers. While St Catherine’s School, Challenge & Adventure, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Dimbola Lodge, Isle of Wight Youth Trust, Quay Arts’ Art Charity, IOW Council’s Liver Health and Love Doesn’t Hurt teams and Adoption Service, Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Daisy Chains, IOW Hampshire Air Ambulance, Rob da Bank’s Music Club, Yarmouth Gig Rowing Club and Swim2Bestival were among the many charities who benefitted from this year’s Bestival.
