Canadian hard rockers Damn Pigeon have released their new single Starlight. The riff-powered anthem is taken from their new album Whisky Sinners and is a storming three minutes of melodic rock showcasing blazing guitars, pounding drums and a fist-in-the air chorus. You can listen to the track below.
Damn Pigeon have been keeping the metal flag flying high since the late 90s. Now a successful independent enterprise with three album releases under their belt, the Ontario-based band have amassed fans at shows around North America and picked up radio airplay in over 25 countries. Their collaborative approach to songwriting results in an aggressive rock sound that’s willing to delve into operatic pop choruses and slick grooves whilst giving every member of the band a chance to display their musical chops. Starlight takes this formula and runs with it, offering grinding guitars, a Queen-esque chorus and a lyrical focus on capitalism and social unrest.
Damn Pigeon is: Joe Edmiston (guitars/backing vocals), Doug Weir (guitars/lead vocals), Steve Proctor (guitars/backing vocals), Jason Latimer (drums/backing vocals) & Steve Proud (bass guitars/backing vocals).
Damn Pigeon will be playing shows in support of Starlight and Whisky Sinners.
