Up and coming artist Robbie Pemberton is set for his debut EP next month under a new project HEDGES. When asked about the EP ‘Look for the sign’s when I’m gone’ , the artist said:
Last year I wasn’t myself. I was acting… let’s say ‘different’. I was on some kind of strange auto pilot; emotionless, cynical, feeling pretty worthless and generally taking life for granted (including those closest to me).
It wasn’t until one of my friends pointed it out to me, that I realised just how bad I really was. After months of burying my head and not wanting to talk about my emotions, feelings or thoughts, I finally started talking about some of my problems.During this time I started to pen to paper some of my experiences and thoughts, as almost as an apology to both myself and everyone effected, but mostly to try and deal with some of my demons and guess find peace with myself, and maybe help someone else in the process. In doing so, I picked up my acoustic guitar and what came next was HEDGES.
HEDGES recently released new single Blank Face which you can check out below!
‘Look for the sign’s when I’m gone’ OUT 2nd August. HEDGES will also be playing Southampton’s Heartbreakers on 2nd August to release the EP.
