For fans of Catfish and the Bottlemen and Mallory Knox , Cambridge born singer
songwriter TOM LUMLEY will release his debut EP Dream City on the 6th April 2017. Tom has established himself as an incredible musician and vocalist to be reckoned with. BBC Introducing in Cambridgeshire have given him countless support throughout his career, including spot plays and live sessions slots, as well selecting him to play at both the Dot To Dot and Green Meadows Festivals. He’s supported the likes of Coasts and The Hunna and was also been tipped by Fred Bambridge of It’s All Indie on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 Show as, ‘an up and coming Cambridge artist to be excited about’. We got up with Tom as spoke about the upcoming EP and more!
So how pumped are to be releasing the EP Dream City?
Yep i’m very excited to be getting a nice amount of music out there for fans to be able to download and listen to.
Can you tell us anything about the EP?
It’s a journey from start to finish and one which I hope will get you excited and singing along.
What is your favourite track from the release?
Personally I’d have to go with Running From Our Lives.
How was being mentioned by Huw Stephens on Radio 1?
Yeah it was actually Fred Bambridge from It’s All Indie who spoke about me on Huw’s show and it was just a bit crazy to hear my name on Radio 1 to be honest.
If you could work with any artists or band on a new song, who would be and why?
I think i’d have to go with the Nothing But Thieves boys. Their songwriting in my opinion is some of the best around and I’d love the chance to work with them.
What has been your proudest moment?
Hmm there’s a few. I’d have to go with playing Dot to Dot festival along side so many of my favourite acts or supporting Coasts with The Hunna.
