Death and the Penguin reveal ‘No Blood, No Sport’

London’s genre-bending rockers Death and the Penguin reveal the video for the angular time-signature-juggling musical athletics of, No Blood, No Sport. Made in collaboration with Freelance Films and Venus Flytrap Productions, the video finds the band trapped within a surreal, Dadaist interrogation led by a strangely beautiful drag artist. They are pulled into the strange world of “Sue gives a Fuck”, where she inspires fear and wonder as she dissects the band’s fragile collective psyche. Taken from their recently released second EP, Eine Kleine Granatenmusik. Check out the video below!

The new song sees the band off setting their jagged instrumentation against anthemic, politically charged vocals.

Tobias Smith:

‘The song is about the intersection between violence, sex, and religion. Looking at the world today, you can’t help but escape the feeling that if Jesus were leader of the opposition on a “love your enemy” platform, certain politicians would be accusing him of a lack of leadership and insufficient masculine endowment”

Death and the Penguin:

Tobias Smith (Vocals, Guitar), Chris Olsen (Guitar, Keys, Vocals), Andy Acred (Bass, Keys, Vocals) and Tim Brennik (Drums, Vocals)
